Downtown art

The sidewalks of Main Street in downtown Grand Junction feature a variety of art ranging from stone sculptures to metalwork of steel and bronze. Some of them are colorful and vivid, while others are more dull yet full of life. Today was a "changing of the guards" of sorts, replacing some of the old art with new to be showcased for the next year or so.

I was able to capture the flight of this colorful butterfly as it traveled from the truck to its resting place.

In the last photo the artist was kind enough to let me capture her preparing her sculpture for veiwing.
